Should "born alive aborted infants" have the same constitutional protections as any other live birth baby?

He voted in 2003 to have the language changed. The third clause of SB 1082 says that infants born alive as a result of abortion shall be considered humans.

However, the first 2 clauses says any infant born alive shall be considered a person for federal purposes.

so thus babies born as a result of botched abortion were already covered under the first 2 clauses. There was no need for the third clause and in fact the third clause could have been used in the future to undermine Roe V. Wade.

So obama voted to change the language, no one else wanted to change the language, so the bill was shelved (as you can see, the Illinois senate really loved babies that much to just shelve the bill instead of have it changed and passed).

Yes. They should also have the same restrictions. No free health care just because they are a born alive aborted baby.

Yep.  Once they are born, they are no longer part of an abortion.  Anyone with a brain should realize this.  But,  They will STILL vote for Obama.

Nope.  trying to save an aborted fetus is much like having an amputation while at the same time, another doctor is trying to save the limb.  If someone decides upon a medical procedure, then it is best to complete the procedure.

Lord knows, the cheap skate conservatives won't pay for severely debilitated partial-birth abortions babies...

the so called partial birth abortions are Babies that are hydrocephalus. They used to call them "water babies" and the condition was called "water on the brain". The are only discovered in late term. The head is as big as a basketball. That is why they must suck out the skull cavity or it would never pass through the birth canal. These babies have no brain.They are a vegetables. The safest thing for the woman is to pull it out piece by piece.The religious Right has glommed onto this procedure to get you all fired up. You are being played like a violin.

Yes.

I say this and I maintain that I am pro-choice. However, while I accept that some people may have a different view than I do on when life begins (I am a Roman Catholic), at the point that the fetus is capable of living outside of the mother, I don't think that "aborting" it is an option. "Aborting" live birth infants is called "infanticide."
