  1. Yes He did.

It is not for you to question Him.

It is a matter of faith for billions of us.

  2. I have read Kumar's answer and all other answers too.

After an act of cowardliness thousands of logic can be put and that is called devil's law. Most of the answers were like that. We are (so called HINDUS) are afraid to accept that GOD RAMA can also do some SIN !

Killing from back is always a SIN whether it is a animal or man or god. A sin is always a sin - whatever logic you add, it remains as sin only !!

Lord RAMA was afraid that by face to face fight he would not be able to defeat BALI and if he can not defeat BALI it would not be possible for him to save SITA. Its his love  for his wife forced him to do this sin. Lord RAMA also accepted that it was an act of SIN and that's why he accepted that in his next AVATAR he would be killed by Angad. Valmiki has written the true incident and so he never changed or tried to hide fact.

This is not the first and last time any of our GODs did sin. There are many more instances and examples in both Ramayan and Mahabharata and in other mythological literatures.

Edit - SWAPAN - u may be aTop contributor..but ur knowledge is not of that level.

Hinduism has NO concept of SIN. And i think u Have NOT understood Kumaara's answer.

You have written " the next avtaar will be killed by angad.."....LOL..I think you even DONT KNOW Ramayan completely. Angad was Sugreve/Bali's son...He helped Shri Ram in the war against Ravana.

  4. no rama was a great king and what ever he did was right.....

vali illtreated a king(sugreeva),  in front of his people which is considered to be a bad deed as a result he was punished

and as far as sitha devi is considered, people talked about her in rama's absence and rama got to know about this issue. as a result to please his people he had to banish her...
