Or should the inconsiderate b******s who sit in and put it straight back be legally obliged to accept a fork in the eye from the crushed person behind?

  1. Travel first class! problem solved....

  2. I hear you. Being 6'3" it does my friggin head in when people do that as it totally cramps me.

  3. Shhhh !!!! -Not so LOUD !!!  I JUST heard that the Airlines are thinking about doing away with Seating COMPLETELY on their Planes- and flying with "Standing room only" !!! So be CAREFULL what you ask for! :0

  4. I find that leaning forwards in my seat and placing my chin at the nape of the offenders neck whilst breathing heavily gets the message across.

  5. One must assume that you frequent the thrombosis class, we on the other hand do not have this problem.

  6. (whispers, bloody h**l, they're getting bigger)

I'm 7'1" and it really bothers me. A lot.

actually I'm that soft they'd recline onto my knee and I'd offer them an Indian head massage!

  7. yes

once one person reclines the whole plane have to

i slam the chair hard in front in they recline , no sleep for anybody who invades my space

  8. Yup, one time I was flying from Portugal to Newark NJ a 7 hr flight. Not only did the creep in front of me put the seat back soon as we were in the air..but I was stuck in the middle of 2 very "softic" ladies.

I nearly had a panic attack!!

  9. I think it would make more sense tfor eeryone to refuse to fly, at least untill the airlines stopped herding everyone in like cattle.

Make them take out two or thre rows of seats or do away with first class and use the extra space for leg room.

  10. i think so every time i get on a plane the person in front ALWAYS puts the chair right back and sometimes i can not even read properly because of other people's ignorance

  11. Shambo 6ft 3,,should that not say 3 ft 6?

did you get your numbers mixed up?

  12. Some people come up with some great ideas>>>> not! the fork in the eye will probably work best...

  13. I recline mine deliberately :)

    Indeed I'm flying tomorrow morning.I'll make it a priority.LOL

  14. I am 6'6".  As soon as I take my seat, I place the knee of my very long legs on the back of the seat in front of me.  When he tries to tilt, the seat acts like it was not built to function in that manner.  When he calls for an attendant, he is told the facts and always settles down.

  15. Yes I always seem to get that idiot in front of me or the one who cant sit still for more than 10 seconds, do you want to lend a fork.

  16. Yes they should be banned.

The last time someone tried to put their seat back in my face on a plane journey I remarked, rather loudly to my husband, that if the seat came back any further I would have no option other than to throw up all over the person who was sat in the seat... the seat stayed where it was!

  17. I very much agree with you too.

Airlines using a seat pitch of less than 32" should be legally obliged to disable the recline facility on the seats.

As for those that do recline the seats, especially on squashed in UK charter flights of 28/29 inch seat pitch, we are talking about people who have reached the very peak of obnoxious, self centered lack of consideration for others.

  18. If airlines were forced to give everyone reasonable room instead of the ridiculous space we get forced in to, then I wouldn't mind them doing away with it. But the space where you sit is so small that you sometimes have to put your seat back so you can stretch your arms and your back a little, otherwise you would arrive at our destination more cramped than we are already. But of course once again, it is not about customer service but profit!
