I don't 'recycle'; because I heard that they dump all the stuff at random places and don't do anything to it for years.

Instead, I hoard it all in my bedroom.

I have huge piles of empty plastic water bottles; carrier bags; tissue boxes; used batteries; body spray cans; food packaging; old TV Guides from over five years ago.

It's getting a bit too much now though.. =/

Maybe the institute would help..?

I think more money should be invested in recycling, the UK is about 25 years behind mainland Europe where recycling is concerned, in fact, where a lot of things are concerned.

I was living in Germany in the 80's and was actively recycling then, there was very little that couldn't be recycled, but the Germans made it easy for people to recycle, unlike most of the councils in the UK.

Would you be surprised if I told you that the space available for landfill around Bristol was filled more than 50 years ago?

I'm not a green-freak by any means, but there's technology and facilities world wide, for recycling, but the space available for landfill is rapidly running out.

while some of the more enthusiastic of them could stand to chill a bit when they get worked up, who in their right mind would want to risk walking out their front door to find their yard is a dump due to too much trash.
