  1. God no - Imagine jails filling up because someone tossed out a pop bottle.

There's better things to do with people's time.

The only reason people want laws is because they can't sway people with the strength of their argument.

  2. Let's look at why laws were created in the first place.

To protect people from getting hurt.

To help people do their jobs properly.

To help people to be treated fairly.

To help people know how to act in public.

To help people know how to treat one another.

    Now add this:

Recycle because it will protect the earth from eventually becoming stuffed like a Thanksgiving turkey or so used up that it becomes a picked over, skeletal carcass.

If people can't agree that what we don't do now could bring harm to our future generations, then Yes, it should become a law. Wouldn't  that be like protecting people from getting hurt though?

    Ahhh, the "(re)cycle of life".

  3. Yes but everypne should get curbside pickup or at least have a place to drop stuff off withing 5 miles or so.  Im bad about recyckling because I have to drive a half and hour to recycle.  They shouldnt charge you to do it either.  Jusdt take the labor costs out of taxes like they do everything else.

  4. YES.

I was thinking it should be made into a law myself.  I try to be good, but I know I could do better.  If it were a law, then it would really help a lot more.

People try, but I don't believe we are doing enough (and yes, I put myself in that catagory.)

  5. Yes!!!!!!

People are forgetting how important it is to recycle!

And since they don't understand how important it is, they won't!

We need to take drastic measures and force people to do it because they are too lazy and the laziness is killing our planet.

  6. Yes! That would be great. Then the gobal warming would slow down and this world would be a better place. More people would get involved and we could continue living life! and not worrying about any more dramatic events. But i also believe people should want to do it to help themselves and the world around them. But if we made it a law that would work to! Lol.

  7. YES!  YES! YES! YES! YES!

There is no earthly reason why we all shouldnt recycle and have curbside pick-up!!

Some states here in the US do it... PA for example...its mandatory to recycle there.

More of us would recycle if it was less of a hassle.

Literature should also be handed out to inform people on how to recycle.

  8. Definitely!!!!!!

  9. I though it already was a law---at least in my state of MA.  Recycling should be a mandated federal law with strict fines for those who violate it.

  10. In Oregon it already is a law.  It's called "the bottle bill."

  11. yes then wouldnt be people that flytip and it help the poeple who havent got a lot of money

  12. not a law but it should be funded for each state by the federal governement i beleive, so people are able to recycle and the amount of people recyling would increase.  places like where i live do not pick up recycling i think trash companies should have to pick it up along with the garbage.

  13. No, not in the sense that they fine you for throwing out an aluminum can, but Yes as in the law of supply and demand.

A pickup truck full of aluminum cans will get you about $150.00 at your friendly neighborhood scrap yard.

THAT'S the kind of law that will get people to recycle.

  14. yes, but only if people didn't have to pay to recycle.

  15. Yes.  Absolutely.  Check out San Francisco, the mayor is looking at doing it.
