  1. he doesnt need to prove anything anymore and im guessing hes alright for money.  if i were him id beat that clown who gets his hair cut in the ring then id retire

  2. No way should he give up yet. Not yet but soon, he should fight Paulie Malinaggi, if he beats him then it'll be very good for his career. After that, if its possible, he should fight either De La Hoya or Mayweather, hopefully Mayweather, if he managed to take his chance and win that then he has proven that he is a true fighter, i wish him luck.

  3. I suppose it's his livelihood, but they take some punishment though, personally, I think it isn't a good sport to participate in as you can damage your brain beyond repair. (Look at Muhammed Ali).  If he has other "irons in the fire" then he should opt out and choose to follow those paths, & put boxing to one side for his brains sake.

Hope you have a good week Hun ;-)

  4. yes his style and the way he`s fights is catching up with him, he`ll get beat again soon

  5. If you've seen any of Hattons fights you'll know that he pretty much looks swollen and bruised after all of them. His style is similar to many Mexican boxers as in they don't really put much emphasis on defence, will take a few hits but just seem to focus on attacking. Personally I think it's a dangerous approach in some instances but maybe that's why so many people find Hatton's fights entertaining because you're sat on the edge of your chair screaming at the TV telling him to get his hands up and defend!!

It wasn't his best performance admittedly but considering Oscar De La Hoya and other pundits were saying, Hatton didn't pick an easy opponent for his comeback fight and you have to commend him on that.

I think Hatton has 2 more fights in him but it's up to him at the end of the day. You can see he has a real passion for the sport and I suppose it'll be difficult for him to retire from something he so clearly loves.

BTW, loved his entrance, just wish I'd been there!

  6. No. If you never saw the fight then you never saw how good he was. He landed twice as many punches as the opponent and won it hands down, even though it was a tough fight.

He did great. There`s only one Ricky Hatton.

  7. he wont quit but the match was alright. he was tiring and he was winning but not in a big fashion. as the opponent was really good but he didnt have no much power. if hatton faced some one like cotto he will die. or even faced urango again. he will lose. he beat urango by holding. because urango is some strong guy

  8. All this negativity towards Hatton. I dont get it. If nothing else he's one of the most exciting fighters in the world today. Boxing would be worse off without him. Theres so many exciting fights out there for him. I know Cotto might be a little bit big for him but why has no-one mentioned that fight as a possibility?

  9. i don't think ricky should retire like you say you never saw the fight i was there and i'll tell you considering the pressure he was under i thought he did a briliant job, yeah lazcano got in a few decent shots which rocked ricky but ricky proved why he is the champion he fought a hard fight and won.i think lazcano gave ricky more trouble than malignaggi would.ricky done himself and manchester proud and what can i say about the atmosphere that night one word awesome.

  10. why should he quit...he only has one loss...Oscar has more losses than that...should he quit.

  11. I think he should continue for a few more big pay days before quitting. I just think he should look after his body between fights a bit better.
