  1. No.

Unless it's a catholic/christian school than that's fine. But it should not be taught in public schools.

  2. No, it's not science and it has no place in a science class.

  3. Creationism and evolutionism have no place in a science classroom.  There is no scientific support for either.  Micro-evolution does occur and should remain as part of the curriculum.

To say that there is no controversy within the scientific community over evolution in its current incarnation (evolutionism) would be false.  There is a great deal of controversy.  Some scientists believe that the scientific method has not been properly applied to evolutionism, and, therefore, the "conclusions" that have been drawn are extremely suspect.

  4. absolutely!

  5. No.  Science classes are for science, and creationism/intelligent design is NOT science.  It's religion.  It has no evidence, it can't be tested, and it's not falsifiable.  These are the hallmarks of science.  Evolution has passed every test and there's no controversy in the scientific community over it.  Basically, the creationists made a big fuss publicly, and then tried to make it look like it was debate in science instead of politics - it's not.  Then when they lost there (Kitzmiller vs Dover 2005) they tried to make us 'teach the controversy' - which they had started in the first place.  No dice.
