Given most of us really dont understand how the constitution in the

UK works and then at the age of 18 suddenly we are asked to vote and be experts on the subject. Why low turnouts at voting polls. Ask most people they really dont understand, they just know a candidate appears offering policies and you vote or not. There is so much more to it and it affects our lives directly. I think for these strong reasons we need to ensure we do at secondary school get to understand whats going on with the world. Hey we get to know about s*x and its implications, drugs, parties, violence so we should also get to know the most powerful of them all - todays governments policy and tax ideas!
