  1. No way! sorry to all you Scottish folk but nope no no!

  2. Like most English people I say YES.

  3. 0nly if that is the will of the majority.

  4. I'm Scottish and I don't want Scotland to become independant because it won't make any difference and will just create chaos.

  5. No. It's too expensive to be independent. Let England fund the military and so forth and enjoy the rest of it.

  6. If they want to be. Personally, I think we're better off sticking together - however Scotish MPs definitely shouldn't be allowed to vote on England only issues.

  7. It practically is anyway. They get university for free, no prescription charge for medication AND their own parliament, making separate laws from the UK parliament.

  8. Yeah, bring it on.

It'll prove to all you propaganda believers that the lies you've been fed about Scotland sucking taxes out of England were indeed lies.

    Someone will suffer post Independence.

    It won't be Scotland.

Robert C... you still haven't looked at site I suggested, have you? I can tell.

'God help England, if she never had Scots to think for her.'

George Bernard Shaw. A very astute man.

  9. Computer says 'No'.

  10. Up to the Scots - should they wish to, IF Salmond gives them the referendum as he says he will and if the vote is yes - so be it.

  11. No, it would destroy the UK. Anyway, Why would it want to be? it doesn't cost anything to be part of the UK - imagine the chaos of the breakup - i.e. NHS, defence etc.

In addition, currently the UK is a world power with the ability to do some good around the world due to our combined wealth - if the UK breaks up, then we will all be reduced to second rate powers without the ability to influence things such as the UN, the EU, US foreign policy, Russia etc etc. in an increasingly dangerous world, we should stick together.

    BRITISH FIRST, ENGLISH SECOND.

  12. Absolutely YES

  13. For years; It as been a well known fact that Scotland has been a drain on the backs of the English and Welsh taxpayer without giving anything back!

It has always been!I want!Instead of contributing positively to the UK economy!

To my way of thinking!Scottish independence cannot soon enough!Providing the English and Welsh taxpayer stops ploughing money into Scotland from day one of independence!

Scotland on independence  should have its own benefits system, pensions system, defence and police system completely independent from Whitehall!

One other fact I would like to raise! All Scottish none workers in England drawing benefits at the time of independence to be repatriated back to Scotland!

Finally!I would insist that Scotland receives no more government defence contracts such as that received by the Govan shipyard and all Scottish workers to be treated like those from Croatia and Rumania! In other words Scotland to live in the real economic world!

I agree!Scotland should have its independence!

  14. Yes and can't you cut Scotland away from England, sick of the whinging haggis eating freeloading backstabbers, also could we not cut away Wales as well

  15. Yes please - anything to stop my English taxes subsidising them - sooner the better

  16. Yes.

  17. no, as for the ignorant ones on here I'm afraid you are subsidising most of the EU, never mind anyone else. perhaps it is time to look at the big picture. might be hard for some though.

  18. no , who will pay their sickness benefit and pay for their deep fried mars bars and skag
