help pls.

My gf and I are very scared about this. We are not ready to have a family yet. Im 20 and she's 21. Since she moved here in the city, we noticed her tummy is getting bigger. I don't know maybe it's just normal. But last month, small red spots came on her period. We tried the homepregtest but it was negative. So we let it pass. After another month, she had her period again. It's normal now, no spotting. But we are afraid if she is pregnant. Her tummy is getting bigger than usual. Her eyes are mostly white. No tummy cramps or any pain.

Could she be pregnant?

We are seeing a doctor tomorrow. I am just so worried, I want to ask some of your opinion. Thanks!

  1. If she has her regular period, she cannot be pregnant.

For future reference, she can get pregnant any time you have unprotected s*x- whether she is on her period, about to get her period, or has all ready had it for the month. Too, keep in mind that sperm can live "in her" for up to 5 days. This meaning, if you have s*x today, she could conceive today, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. I'm telling you this because if she ever gets her period then it suddenly stops, it could be because conception has occurred. Does that make sense to you? I hope so.. Oh yeah, and pregnancy tests should be reliable 10-14 days after a risk. Although, I always suggest taking more than one, a few days apart, just to be sure. To avoid unplanned pregnancy, you two should use protection, such as: condoms, spermicide, and the pill, shot, nuva ring, or patch.

Anyway, her weight gain could be the effects of moving to a new environment and atmosphere. The food, lifestyle changes, and just living style may be causing her to gain weight, as well as many other reasons.

Good luck and have a nice day :)

  2. Did you take the pg test with her morning's urine?  There's always a chance she pg, but if you're sure it was her period, it's unlikely she's pg.

Make sure you're using a condom AND she's on the pill if you don't want her to get pg.

  3. Those are not signs of pregancy.

    She hasn't missed her period.

And the test you took was negative.

    She's probably just gaining weight.

And you guys are getting quite paranoid.

  4. Just go get a PG test from the doctor. Stranger things have happened!

  5. In pregnancy it takes about 8-12 weeks before you start noticing stomach changes. So if she is beginning to put on weight in her stomach, most likely its either bloating or she is slacking on her exercise.

However it is possibly to spot and have some slight bleeding the first month of pregnancy. But if she took the test and it came back neg and then a normal bleeding begin, most likely she isn't pregnant. Just remember that stress can cause period changes, so have her calm done.

When ever in doubt go to the doctors. And not to sound like a preacher, but if the two of you are not ready to have children then you need to seriously talk about birth control with the doctor tomorrow. There are many options to chose from and the doctor will make his suggestion, but seriously talk to her about this.

    Good luck.

  6. She isn't pregnant and you are going to embarrass yourself at the doctors tomorrow.
