  1. iverson is short and he was mvp, players like earl boykins are sooooooo short and play in the nba,you can play point guard if you are small but you have to bee>

a very very very good passer

    a very good shooter

    a very good ballhandler

if  you arent a very good shooter or passer you could be a point guard like tony parker or rajon rondo

very quick, handle the ball very very well , are penetrating to the hoop ver good, have nice Floaters, good crossover movess and very good defenders...

and if you just play basketball for fun you can for sure i mean why not

  2. yes

  3. Yes im short and i play guard i may not be the best offensive player. And i dont get many drives to the lane but i have a decent jumper and decent ball handling. And my biggest role on my team is defense im a killa with steals.

  4. heck yes!

if you love it then why not go for it

  5. Why not??? i think any body is great for basketball especilly if ur short. i will be easy to steal the ball and if ur quick that would be even better.!!!! trust me i have palyed agianst team that have short people but they r good. don't let ur size or other people say u can't!!! = )

p.s. also i am not the tallest on my team i am bout averge and i can do preety well!!! i even know guys who r short and play basketball!!!

  6. definitely. they're good for getting past all the tall people :]

  7. huh, there already short people in NBA

  8. if u have mad hops like spudd webb and nate robinson... and if u dont.. then u have to have madd ankle breaking skills

  9. spud webb did.

  10. JUST BECAUSE U R SHORT DEON'S MEAN ANYTHING IF U LOVE IT THEN TRY OUT FOR IY AND FOR UR ANSWER GO AN TRY OUT  (YES)

  11. Of course! You might have to work a little harder than the taller people, but you slightly would have an advantage too.  You probably would be faster and more agile, so you should drive to the hoop a lot.  Muggsy Bogues and Earl Boykins were/are good players and they are under 6 ft.

  12. Sure they can.

  13. SURE they could be point guard..

  14. Definitely ok my friend is about 4 foot and she is an awesome basketball player i say definetely!!!

  15. Yes, short people are just as good.

  16. Yeah why not. Your greatest asset would be your speed. Mugsy Bogues was 5'3 and Spud Webb was 5'6. They both had good NBA careers

  17. ya...play guard

  18. if they have skill

  19. For a school team, yes. To have fun, yes. To try to make it big: only if you are ehffin' good! the shortest NBA player was like 5'7 or 8.

  20. ya height doesnt matter its your skill and athleticsm.

  21. Yeah why Not! It's a sport, and if you really enjoy it don't let your height make you feel in secure.

  22. muggsy bogues was 5'3 and had a very succesful nba career

  23. only if ur very talented u probably wont have a starting job at first but if u are as good as spud webb and muggsy bogues was then u prolly will. just look at nate robinson

  24. no matter what size you are if you like the game you should try out

  25. sure they are quick

  26. yes iverson chris paul spud webb did short people are inisted by me to play shortpeople maynot be strong powerful or ableto dunk but they can dribble well steal and withworkcan be super fast.

  27. YEAH! Im short and i play basketball...lol

  28. Only if fast enough! watch Boykins play!

  29. day can play pointgaurd or shootn gaured

  30. YES,no matter how small or how tall you are doesnt mean your no good at basketball. im the smallest one on my team and im good im the fastest one i can jump higher than the tallest ones.im the point guard.......dont let anybody make fun of you about your size......good things come in small packages.

  31. i think that should be a definite yes!!!!

you don't have to be tall to play, look at the NBA and the short players there

i think if you love the sport enough it is the best thing you can do for yourself.

the only you would ask is if you think that would hold you  back and it most defiantly wouldn't
