Should smokers be banned from Medicare?

I was just wondering if you could give me your thoughts on if smokers should be banned from Medicare?

Yes and no.

Drug addicts and alcoholics are not, so why should smokers be any different. As well, it is now a known fact that 2nd hand smoke is worse. So what about the children of parents who smoke?

What about people who speed when they drive and crash their car and need medical attention? Everyone knows speed can kill. Just as smoking can.

There are also people who do not take care of their diet needs.

This question is quite complex if you think about it. If smokers began to be denied, I could see a whole bunch of other reasons to deny other people of it.

At the end of the day, I believe everyone should have health care. It is a  NEED not a luxury.

No, because smoking is not against the law, so even though it it bad for your health, smokers are not breaking the law....now do I think smoking should be against the law...yes!

Why should smokers be banned from medicare they pay taxes to you know the same as drinkers and drug uses,etc.
