if they are nearsighted and ...

can't properly see the tv without their glasses

must wear their glasses so they can drive

get a big headache or some eyestrain without their glasses

Yes they must, but have they had an eye test recently?  If not then they should, of if it gets worse.

Yes the headaches are a sign of eyestrain . Your eyesight is precious you should look after them . If you don't like to wear glasses you can always try contact lenses
