  1. The question is valid, cause u irish idiots, cant run your own economy without begging the British to bail you out or ask for out financial and political advice, funny how since u left the UK, the s**t has hit the fan....

  2. WHY would Ireland want to become part of britain?  FYI Ireland uses Kilometres now.  And as for Tesco etc, these stores are found all over the world and the Sun newspaper is on sale all over the world too.  They drive on the left... and?  They also happen to have a much more superior education system.  Thank God for the fact that they dont have chavs or vicky pollards roaming the streets lol.

  3. They are already part of the UK.

Halfords, Argos, Londis, Mace, the Sun, Nutts, Zoo, FHM, Heat, Hello, Tesco,

Ireland doesn't have their own Amazon website, have to use UK one. They drive on the left, they speak about miles, the inside of a Dublin Bus doesn't look any different from a London one. And so on, and so on, and so on........

They're like brother and sister, off course they are. After being the same country for 800 years, it takes more than 90 years to become different.........

  4. Ireland would be better of becoming part of the United States of America in the same that Puerto Rico is connected to America. We are culturally tied to America and we would still be able to run our affairs, I would choose to be part of the United States rather than be part of the United Kingdom or the European Union if I had the choice.

  5. As an English lad living in Ireland no way do I want Ireland to "return" to being under British rule.

Its their country and let them rule themselves as they see fit but I wonder if the Irish will still have the same attitude towards the UK when/if the morons that are running Ireland come asking for help with their financial crisis? I want to see the reaction from the Irish people when they know that they've had to get help from the old enemy to rescue the f**king mess they have made for themselves.

Its nothing but sheer greed at all levels that has cocked things up in Ireland.....Greed.

  6. I have a funny feeling that someone's working on it. The powers that be seem to enjoy a good drawn out bloodbath. Good for business. Our government are a bunch of pawns, sheep, cowards, thieves and scumbags (like most 'successful' politicians) so I wouldn't be surprised if they signed us away gradually like they did with the EU. I heard recently that you can get a tax refund if you've been working in the UK. Sounds like a nice little bait.

To answer you're question, no. You won't get me swearing my allegiance to the Crown or any other Corporation in the inner city of London.

"G'way UK" is what I say.

  7. It took us 800 years to get our freedom not a hope in h**l will we ever go back plus even if u did do you think the Irish people would take that well? Eh no there will be constant wars going on if they did and neither Britain or irelad want to kick that off again

  8. maybe britain should become part of Ireland. From a Irish man,,,,,,,,,,,,,

  9. NOWAY should he republic of Ireland ever become part of the UK, Britain
can hardly afford Northern Ireland never mind it self. As for Scotland in time it may break away as well, knowing the proud Scots. I would rather have the
republic of Ireland as part the United States of America if we had to lose are independence other than go back to Britain. Britain should look to the future and not to the past of its old empire or commonwealth its old hat.

  10. yes it should! come back to us and then we should think about getting our empire back! really i belive the world will be a better place under the empire of uk. i for one would love to see the irish come back to us and for them to stop being so stubborn, life under the union flag is not as bad as media make out..

trust me on this ... the empire is coming back and ireland you have to understand your our first nation to re-claim.

  11. Yes, because all Irishmen are nothing more than Englishmen who couldn't make a go of it in England.

  12. I know it will never happen but I think it would be better for Ireland if they did join. Of course they would perhaps have less power but they would be in a better situation than they are in at the moment. Plus it would make the UK stronger. UK and Ireland together out of the EU and form a political and economical allegiance with the other commonwealth nations OR with the anglosphere. that's the direction ireland and britain should take. eu is not the way

  13. A BIG FAT NO we already have a badly run government which probably would join the British commonwealth to try to get out of debt and change back to the pound. Its bad enough that we have British electrical three pin or prong plugs and light fittings, DRIVE on the wrong side of the road like Britain so buying a cars in Europe more awkward, I am surprised we have not changed our road signs from yellow diamonds to triangles and converted back to miles from kilometers. As for our broadcasters RTE and TV3 I don't know if I am watching ITV or BBC theirs that much of UK's television on Irish television such as eastenders emerdale and coronation street and much more and the same with commercials with English accents . Its time to change our Television system from British PAL I to PAL B/G or something else and the same with the roads, we are starting to look like Britain. My friend from to UK ask me a quiz question he was doing about British city's Dublin and Cork was classed as a British city's. another friend thought that the republic of Ireland was part of the British Isles there for it was British territory belonging to the  British crown. Northern Ireland yes Republic of Ireland NO. I believe we are not that important to Europe or the Unite States of America or any were else. at the same time I fell we are losings are identity as Irish and we are starting to look like Britain and I think its time we change our standards more direct with Europe or the US

  14. There is no such country as Southern Ireland, its called the Republic Of Ireland, as it does not have a monarchy. Although Britain invaded Ireland,
but could never quiet conquer her, they decided to unlawfully take the land from the irish and give it to English and Scottish people who were shipped over to Northern Ireland  to have  this land for free while Irish people sufferred watching their lively hoods disappear along with their culture and language as the British would torture the Irish if overheard speaking in Irish. This is not taught in schools in Britain, just like the famine in Ireland was due to a potatoe crop failing, partly true, because once that failed there was no other food available because again the British took all other foods from the Irish to export while again the Irish people suffered. Why would a country with different values culture language become a part of Britain?? They may own 6 counties but its purely because they stole the land from the Irish. Scottish and English settlers have remained on the land for a few hundred years but they walk on irish soil.
