  1. I believe all spirits should be treated with respect as all living and non living thing in our universe should :)

  2. Ye,s we should respect the dead. We should ask before investigating a place.

  3. It depends on the situation I guess.  I've never met a spirit who had any titles or anything like that before, and being raised the way I was...well, it's America and we don't have that sort of social distinction so I'm not sure how you should adress the ghost of a dead queen or other royal personage.  I have ran into the spirit of Roosevelt in Warm Springs, but It freaked the h**l out of me so bad, I just walked/ran out of the Little White House.  I think it was because he was a politician though...........that and I was only eleven.

Edit: As for respecting a spirit period though....it depends I guess.  An unknown strange spirit I usually don't bother, unless they adress me first, and I guess it is just like a person....how they react with you  Like if they were a deceased family member or ancestor......what was thier position in the family or are they an estranged/shunned member, what was your personal relationship with them, and did you like them?  That sort of thing would come into play.

  4. It depends on who you ask. If the spirit is "visiting" you and is making contact with you, then I say yes. If the spirit is there but doesn't know you're there, then No.

  5. Of course they should.  However it is presumptive to pretend to know the exact identity of a spirit, even after careful research is done.  Just because someone died a horrible death or committed suicide doesn't necessarily mean that that is the only spirit that may be connected with that particular place.

  6. Sure, why not.

  7. well in this world everyone is created equally.

  8. If you know that someone is of that stature, then when addressing that person, the answer would be yes.  You should show the respect that they once held in life.

I would say that you would get a better chance of response from them.

  9. It really depends on the spirit, and it's disposition. You wouldn't treat a vampiric entity that feeds on your depression with much curteousy, I would hope.

  10. well, in this world, everyone is CREATED equal.

so everyone should DIE equal too.

should should go as you came.

  11. I think that any person, living or dead, should be treated with equal respect. Just because they were royalty shouldn't mean that they're better than everyone else.

  12. What we do in this world is for spiritual growth...I believe. Even a man who lives his life as a construction worker, may be on a higher level then someone else, like royalty. It all depends on what their life purpose was and what they were supposed to accomplish...and how much of that they did accomplish. For the construction worker, his purpose may have been to be a great Dad and maybe he was. While the King might have been good to his subjects but beat his wife and cheated on her.

So since we don't really know that, it's hard to say who is held in higher regard than another.

I don't think it's the same as the way we view social status here though.

  13. Respect never goes out of fashion...but personally, I'd consider an entity highly suspect if they approached me with such a claim... but that's only because my guides provide a protective buffer. Earthly titles fall away with earthly possessions at death, as far as I'm concerned.  Ascended masters, on the other hand, I hold in extremely high regard, because their lives all reflected goodness and purity of spirit. Their status was earned from service to others.

  14. I'm afraid that  I don't buy into the idea that a ghost is anything more than an after images left behind after everything that was important about a person has already vacated the scene.

Showing respect to a ghost is like showing respect to a footprint that they left on the carpet.
