Question:

Should states offer a "Drinker's License"?

Today states offer a driver's license as a surrogate drinker's license and driving should not be linked to drinking -- even by the state

It could have a picture -- front and profile -- and say "Over 21" and nothing else so it could not be used in identity theft.

States currently offer fishing and hunting licenses.

States currently offer professional licenses.

  1. Are you thinking in terms of license fees?  I don't quite know what to think about it.  My guess is that it would generate as much praise as criticism.

  2. It might not be a bad idea.  Since people do take drinking way too far.

  3. States already offer ID cards for non-drivers, which can be used as proof of age just like a driver's license.

Fishing and hunting licenses are a form of taxation and nothing more.

  4. Yeh, that is cool. Let's do it, dude.

  5. Maybe, sounds intresting

I'd like to see stickers on drivers licenses that say whether or not we're capable of multi-tasking while driving. I'm tired of getting pulled over for driving with my cell, but also tired of idiots cutting me of on the highway.

  6. I don't get it.I'm 49, one look in my wore out hollow eyes, is all you need to buy a beer. That and a $1.50. Hickup!
