  1. yes... but not for so much

  2. Yes! I think High School students should get paid because then they wouldn't have to get a part time job so they could focus more on their shool work.  But high school students should be the oly ones to get paid

  3. Yes, I'd wish that would happen! :)

  4. no.....but the teachers should be paid more to teach their bad @sses!

  5. i see no debate in this! if you want to be stupid, jobless and homeless go ahead and drop out of school.

until then, be quiet and get an education. you'll appreciate it so you will be able to make money later with some SKILLthat you've maintained from your education. not for sitting down listening to somebody talk.

  6. nope cuz u gotta learn at school to get paid in a job when ur older the school gets paid for kids goin to school though its like 53bux a day per kid i think in calif

  7. YES!

  8. They are getting paid. With an education.

  9. EVERYONE one the face of this earth gets paid to go to school... gets paid with additional knowledge so we can actually succeed in life.

  10. No.  The fact that every child in the US has the opportunity for an education is, on the world scale, an incredible gift.  The schooling isn't free; the taxpayers are paying for it.

Next time it's brought up, ask your class to do some research on Africa where schooling is something precious, not taken for granted like it is here.

  11. Absolutely not. School is something EVERYONE has to go through. A teacher shouldn't have to pay YOU for giving you an education. That's ridiculous.

  12. No, I think it is everyone's own responsibility to become a respectable member of society - learning is just a part of the process.

  13. How can I answer this without sounding too much like a parent? That may be impossible HA okay as a student in school you are being paid without realizing it. You are being paid by receiving an excellent education to prepare you for your future. That is your payment and your parents as taxpayers are the bosses signing the check. While in school just like in any job you choose how much you receive. Do you want to just float by on min wage by just doing what is necessary to get by? Or do you excell and work towards the endless possibilities and push yourself to gain that 6 digit salary? What you earn is up to you because the effort you put forth now can predict where you will be 10 to 20 years from now.

  14. Dont i wish but the answer is no. thats why we have jobs to apply for

  15. Absolutely not.  School and an education is a privilege and should be treated as such.  The reward should be learning and preparing for life, not a dollar amount.

  16. No! Your teachers and parents need to teach you that the value of going to school comes later in the form of a higher paying job.

Sorry, you will have to get paid later just like the rest of us did.

Isn't the prospect of having a job better than working fast food enough for you? lol

  17. No, they definitely shouldn't. If you want an education you have to go there otherwise you are never going to find a job in the long run.  Anyway, do you really think that they would have enough money to even afford to pay every kid in every school? I think not. As it is, they hardly have enough to pay teachers.

  18. No they shouldn't.

They should be spanked if they don't go!

  19. No way. Thats not how it works. Mommy and daddy pay your way, they do all the working, kids go to school to learn. period. Its for the future. Kids do not need incentive to go to school, its mandatory, and they need to deal with it. No sympathy from me. I would never pay my kid for good grades, just praise, good job, you are doing great, maybe a treat, but no way any money is coming their way for just going to school and preparing for their future.

  20. Hey you know what if it worked and kept the kids in school I would go for it. In real life we get paid for our work. Why should they not get paid for their work? Poor children could afford new clothes and lunches too. Kids would have thier own money and not be asking mom and dad for it all the time.

If they want more money they just need the better grades - what better incentive is there?

  21. All students are paid for going to school.  And education is something that you earn -- thus, that is the payment.

Being educated is a privilege in this country.  There was a time that only the wealthy could be educated.  So many young people in this country expect everything should be handed to them - that they are entitled to it.  A payment for anything you earn does not need to be monetary.
