depends on how old the teen is...there is a big difference between 13 and 18..by the time you are 17 or 18 you should have a fairly good idea of what you want to do with your life...

Ultimately, yes, but it has to be something conceivable.  Like, if you're 16 & want to be an doctor but hate blood and school...not conceivable.
