Why should Hawaii students say the pledge of allegiance, considering that many are Native Hawaiian, and their country was illegally deposed. America had treaties in place with the Kingdom of Hawaii, including one with multiple countries, stating they would not attempt to overthrow the peaceful Kingdom. Yet, they were the very ones who broke this treaty that they created. Should this fall under an ACLU area?

  1. I don't know anywhere in the US that kids are forced to say the pledge.  They may hear it over the intercom, but no one is forced to say it.

The ACLU is a pathetic organization and hardly the avenue to take to secure rights granted by treaty.  In all of world history there is only one way to recover what was lost by force, and that is of course to take it back by force.   The western world is in need of some revolution....stoke the fire.

  2. FREE HAWAII !!!

  3. I agree. Would you stay loyal to a country who overthrew yours?

  4. sure, they shouldnt have to say the pledge if they dont want to, its THEIR island and THEY never asked to be part of the United States anyway. They didnt come to america, america came to them.
