Should the Argonauts sign Ricky Williams?

Since he will not be playing in the NFL this year as a result of violating that league's drug policy, the Argos have put him on their negotiation list. Do you think this is a good move?

  1. No way.  R.W. is just a wasted talent. Its sad to see someone with that much potential throw it all away because he cannot keep himself away from drugs.  As hard as he has worked, I think he should be banned from practicing profesional sports.

  2. They wasted a spot on the neg list.  He might be suspended, but he's still under contract to the Dolphins.  He can't play in the CFL unless Miami cuts him.

  3. Why not? Spice up the league. As long as he is under control i think it would be good for the league. The american media would follow his play and this would let other guys know they can come up here. Remember the days with the rocket and Flutie!!!

  4. If the Argos want to sign Ricky " pass me the crack "

Williams it is ok with me.

It would be great for the league.

  5. Yes they should, he could help boost attendance and stay in shape. With the Canadien Dollar trading so high it might not cost as much as it would have a couple of years ago, and they could prob get him for like $1million US. I think it would be a great move for the CFL and Mr. Williams, but I don't think it will happen. I could see him playing in B.C. maybe, because he loves "nature" and they have the good cronic out there, but he'll prob just take the year off and travel around Siberia or something.

  6. yes

  7. canada?.....and football?....NOOOOOOO!

  8. No!

  9. I don't think he wants to play.  The only reason he was playing with the Dolphins is because they would require his signing bonus back, if he didn't fulfill his complete contract... that was worth like 6.5 million or something.

So, if he didn't play with the Dolphins and finish his contract, he's owe them the entire signing bonus.
