Should the Bears look at Chad Pennington?

He's not a star and he doesn't have a great arm but he's have to be considered at least more skilled than Grossman and Orton, wouldn't he?

I'm a Purdue fan and since Orton is from Purdue I would have to say no, but Pennington would probly be a good idea to get.

Probably. But he has a rag arm is is vastly overrated. He hasn't been any good since 2002. He wouldn't help the Bears and would most likely get killed by the O-Line. He's not exactly mobile.

No way! He has a weak arm. And he is always hurt. So why would the Bears want to downgrade the quarterback position? Sure, Orton and Rex are not that good, but Pennington is worse.

And with the offensive line the Bears have, nothing would help...

yeah i agree and i think they should. i don't think there's any way pennington can do any worse for the bears as grossman and ortan have, the bears also just need a better line to protect their qb, whoever it is

Pennington may be able to grab a starting job in Chicago. He would be an upgrade but he has a weak throwing arm and the Chicago winds get mighty strong at times. Favre would have been a much better addition.

I would think they should. He has a better track record than the other guys they have and he protects the ball, which would be an improvement. Long term answer,no..short term upgrade, yes!

The Bears need to be looking at every quarterback not on a roster or soon to be not on a roster.
