  1. no why? i thought independence meant just that!

  2. No - get it from Jimmy Carter, who installed him.

  3. no

Zimbabwe is no longer the responsibility of the British. If they want compensation from anyone, it should be from Mugabe (not that they'd get it, but put enough pressure on him and his cronies, and who knows).

  4. And then those same farmers could use the money they got to compensate the descendants of the people who originally owned that land.

  5. Maybe Mugabe should. He took their land, not the British.

  6. Yes I believe it was labour party arrogance and interference that destroyed one of the greatest success stories to come out of Africa and hand it over to that terrorist Robert Mugabe.

Rhodesia was the bread basket of Africa we produced so much food that no one went hungry and because of British sanctions and Anti-white propaganda and the traitorous way that they betrayed us, Zimbabwe is now on the brink of collapse where millions of people are starving, homeless and live in constant fear of Mugabe's army.

These Zimbabwean farmers had spent 100's of years building their farms from the bush into a dynamic, labour intensive, agricultural machine with guaranteed markets for their produce, now because of the decisions of the British labour government, Harold Wilson, the coward, Callaghan the buffoon and a succession of communist sympathising liberals, these farmers have been thrown off their land and are destitute, their lively hood has been stolen from them and it is all because of the British labour party government.

YES THEY SHOULD PAY THEM, BIG TIME and apologise.

    EDIT Jan.

We knew what would happen, we knew that we would lose our farms and ranches to Mugabe obsessive, white hatred and greed.

Just like we know that it is going to happen in South Africa.

    EDIT John S.

Are you talking about hte land that Lobengula gave to Cecil Rhodes for whites to live on or are you talking about the millions of acres that the Shona Kings gave to the British for their aid during the Matabele rebellion.?

  7. Why should we fund anybody it seems we have enough troubles and poverty of our own . Our pensioners get believe it or not about a £2 rise annually , seeing that the poll tax rises about £7 annually you can imagine what that is doing to them , that is of course without all the other rises in the cost of living . a nation is judged by the way it looks after its old folk , this country looks after every parasite in the world before its own people and are a disgrace to so called civilisation . And before someone spouts of about pension supplements i have it from good authority it is almost impossible to get any is you have even a very modest amount of savings

  8. NO ! Rhodesia was a great country and Mugabe screwed it up. It's all his fault. Kill him !!

  9. No!It is something for the African Union to sort out!

  10. No, why should they?

  11. Somebody should, but I dont think it should be the British. Those poor white farmers could not have foreseen the circumstances they are in now, neither could the British. It would be great if some financial help could come from Europe, or South Africa. Maybe not in the form of compensation, but more like a contribution. White farmers of Southern Africa is considered some of the best farmers in the world. They can make a great contribution to any country wanting to tackle hunger and food production.

  12. should the British government supply flying fish with adiquate transport? should we all compensate Islam for the fact that we exist!! on the same planet.?....WHY!! would we have to compensate Zimbabwean farmers?....what the h**l has any of this Mugabe nonsence got to do with us? Zimbabwe is an independent country and its leader dispises us....so answere 'in short' ...........NO......in fact they should compensate us! for the fact that they've got all the bannanas.

  13. Yes they should.

The farmers bought their land from the British colonial authorities who in turn purchased it from the tribal chiefs and/or negotiated land rights. The British government should compensate the farmers and then sue the Zimbabwean "heirs" to their financial legacy.

  14. Many of the former white farmers have been offered land and help in other african countries as they realize they have skills that they need.  Btw i dont think it is our problem and as such i dont think we should give a penny.

  15. No,

  16. Umm - why?

It wasn't the British Government who dispossessed them was it?  Mugabe should be compensating them.  Independence means taking responsibility.

  17. Why?

  18. We should invade Zimbabwe.
