Question:

Should the Canadian government strip the Khader family of citizenship and deport them?

Should the immigration officials that let them in be fired? The Khader family are friends of Osama Bin Laden and several members of the family have gone to Afghanistan to join the Taliban and fight against Afghanistan, Canada and its allies. Omar Khader was captured and is on trial for killing an American medic. Is treason sufficient cause to strip citizenship or are the warm and fuzzy Liberals correct that Omar should be repatriated and the Khaders be allowed to remain in Canada and live off our welfare system?

  1. Don't worry about the one in Guantanamo, pretty sure you don't have to worry about him anymore. If he's convicted of murdering one of our soldiers it's a decent chance he's going to be off planet Earth soon, not coming back to Canada. But then again who knows.

As for me I think a lot of countries have sealed their own fate with their immigration policies being too liberal. Europe seems to finally be figuring this out, hope you guys manage to wake your politicians up,up there, but I doubt it. But I think they ought to boot that whole family out. I watched interviews with some family member of that kid Omar down in Gitmo, and while it's just a feeling I think that whole family thinks like that kid. People can call me paranoid, but these people aren't coming here "for a better life",people better start getting them out now.

  2. I say it depends, granted im not a fan of this people at all... BUT the young guy that is a prisioner in guantanamo, isnt he like 16 i dont think he knows wtf he is doing in the first place, specificaly him... is he a naturalized canadian or a born canadian,

if he was BORN canadian then no, he is just as canadian as the rest, if he was naturalized then we can certainly do something about it.

as far as the rest goes, you know the parents and older siblings F them.

  3. There are two issues here:

    1. I don't believe the Kadr family currently living in Canada have done anything illegal.  Sure, they have an attitude problem, and their affiliation with militant Muslims and the right to Jihad is there for all to see.  But they haven't done anything illegal.  Freedom of speech is still a right in Canada.

    2. Omar Kadr has not received due process of the law.  A right that ALL Canadian citizens have access to in courts.  If Omar went thru Canadian jurisprudence and was found guilty of treason or other such crimes, I would revoke his Canadian citizenship and send him back to his country of origin.

    To summarize:

Being friends of unsavoury characters does not constitute deportation.  If that was the case our population would be cut in half!    Omar Kadr is being tried in a US military court for an alleged crime he committed while a child soldier.  That is pure wrong.  One item you seem to have forgotten in all of this is that the Kadr family are Canadian citizens, not landed immigrants or here on a visa.  They are protected under Canadian law and the Bill of Rights. Just as we all are.

BTW, I'm a warm and fuzzy Liberal (I guess) and I totally disagree with your generalizations of people and events.
