Question:

Should the Canterbury-Bankstown area be broken away from the south-western region/category?

Because on the news, most the time when the south-west is mentioned, it is the outer suburbs such as Liverpool and beyond and this can make the stereotypes about the area affect Canterbury-Bankstown too eg. I always hear comments others make when I walk past them in uniform from a school in Canterbury-Bankstown. Should Canterbury-Bankstown be a seperate region of Sydney on its own? Or is this the case already?

  1. I live on the edge of Canterbury Bankstown and St George regions, so I don't care either way. I thought it was a seperate region anyway. The media doesn't always get it right. I have heard of this area referred to as both South-West and South.
