Does it matter to you any at all about the character of the Lady that sleeps in the white-house with your president and may have influence in his decisions? Should this be off-limits just because one candidate says so?

Why?----or---- Why Not?

  1. It matters if the so-called first lady is Michelle Obama - miss never proud of her country  until now - who thinks we are a "mean country" - the one who gave the Praise speech for racist-supreme  Louis Farrakhan when he received an Award from her church, Wright and the TUCC.

That kind of first lady I can do without !  She is no Jackie-O.

  2. Actually...  both parties parade potential First Ladies for that very reason....

  3. And shouldn't we get the preggo teenage daughter and the DUI husband into the fray to. Trust me, the Democrats win that war every time

  4. No.  I don't believe this is off-limits.  The first lady has a bully-pulpit, and what she might say will have a world-wide influence.

  5. The truth of the matter is that everyone has things in their lives and families they aren't proud of.

Unfortunately the media and many people love digging up peoples dirt.

Character is a very important factor for determining whether or not a person qualifies for the job they are applying for.

Example the Characteristic that Obama has of Not being able to commit to what he stands for, shows me that he won't do what he says.

  6. No, the character of a potential first lady is not off-limits. A first lady or man represents the values, beliefs and ideals of the president.

  7. So, I guess a potential first lady is a drug-addicted, anorexic, lying, thief who set up her own charity to have her own drug supply is not off limits. Cool...Cindy McSame: a noun, a verb, and Oxycontin..."that's why I got away with it"

  8. Nobody seemed to care when they beat up Hillary for 8 years and some more when she ran for president.  Are people worrying about another first lady getting mad and running for president again?  I think its cheap and needless to tear down the families of our elected leaders.

  9. I just think spouses and children should be off limits.  How many of you would want to be hired or fired because the their spouse or child, especially your teenagers, lol. And it pulls attention away from the real issues.

  10. The First Lady is a role player for a President and must be considered by the people during the election.

  11. Okay, sure Sarah Palin has five children, and her seventeen-year-old daughter is pregnant daughter.  Horrible, isn’t it? I’m sure that doesn’t happen much in modern America, let a lone the world.

But what would you think of a politician (married, with children) whose father made his fortune bootlegging, that while intoxicated, drove into a creek, then disappeared while his lady friend died in his car?  It’s hard to spell Chappaquiddick isn’t it? But I don’t want to too hard on good old Ted…

Now how another politician, an omitted (former) Cocaine user, with a close relationship to Bill Ayers, the leader of the Weather Underground Organization, who gave almost a million dollars to his cousin (Raila Uding) that is now in a Kenyan prison for election rigging, whose first major financial contributors was Antoin "Tony" Rezko (also in prison), and whose father was a polygamist-alcoholic. I don’t want to too hard on this guy either, but it’s hard to spell his (entire) name isn’t it?

I’m sure glad the national media is exposing all of political candidate’s dirty little secrets…

  12. there's a difference between character and their political ideas.  Character is important, spouse's political ideas mean nothing in any election.

  13. Yes it matters.  She has access to the leader of the free world.  I'd rather she not be sketchy.

  14. That's a great question.  Yes, I'm afraid that I feel that the character of the First Lady should be considered when choosing a President.  I don't think it should be off limits -- look at how influential some First Ladies have been like Jackie Kennedy and even Hillary Clinton.  The President and the First Lady are our representatives to the world -- they must BOTH be good representatives of our nation that we can be proud of.

  15. They need to stay out of the limelight and no, they shouldn't be scrutinized.

What is the deal with them speaking out and acting like they are "part of the deal"?

I'm voting for the pres, not the spouse.............
