  1. I don't think Fukudome is a major liability at this point so I say leave him in the lineup.

  2. Not completely bench.  Kosuke saves the Cubs runs with his great defense in right even when he isn't hitting.  I honestly think that they need to drop him to 8th in the lineup.  Piniella has done a good job giving him a day off a week and keeping him fresh.  Fontenot, Reed Johnson aren't everyday players.  Having them play 2-3x a week has worked extremely well plus I rather have guys like Fontenot, Johnson as pinch hitters late in games.

  3. What are your reasons to why they should bench Fukudome?

  4. No they should bench u

  5. Yes and No.Fukodome's batting average has dropped like a rock since June.He hits with no power and isn't driving in runs.He is more a product of hype and hope than anything else. But DeRosa wouldn't be the answer in right. The Cubs should have been or still should be searching the waiver wire for an outfielder with some power.

  6. They should defiantly give him some rest now and then down the stretch as they should with all the regulars to get them fresh and keep the bench players sharp but I would not bench him more than a game or 2. His defense in right is way too important. With the offensive punch we have throughout the rest of the lineup we can afford to keep him in the lineup while he is struggling until he can straighten himself out.

    GO CUBS!!

  7. Yeah, **** him do me...

  8. They're winning...and if it aint broke then don't fix it right?!?

  9. He just in a slump right now, he is one the Cubs best defensive fielders and a lot of people forget he played in Japan for many years before coming to stateside , Other teams have gotten enough video on him and they know his weaknesses as before when he first came out he was unknown and pitchers had no idea what to expect. Plus Lou has been shifting his batting order from 1 to 8 to 7 to 5 etc and I dont believe he is comfortable or getting into a rhythm speaking in baseball terms

  10. f*k is one of the most over rated players I have ever seen, this season or any other. Not that I am into The Cubs much, but I dont see why putting him, leaving him, in the line up benefits them offensively.

  11. personally i think they should split the time fontenot has a lot of potential but so does kosuke so they should def split the time(kinna like edmonds and reed) even tho edmonds is starting a lot more lately then reed

derosa should be in the lineup everyday for sure tho no doubt

kosuke needs to play like when they first signed him and he was hittin 5th

  12. with soriano back they have the luxury of giving fukudome some breaks here and there, but his defense in right is way too important to the team. Nobody else on the cubs roster can play right field at wrigley like kosuke can. Guys are gonna have their struggles offensively during 162 games no matter who they are, so i'm not worried much about it.

  13. Yeah, I suppose. Solid first place team, why not change things around? Bench Aramis Ramirez, too. That might help.

Why would you want to fool around with a working formula? Bet you don't like Sweet Lou, either.
