  1. The right to free speech does not mean that you can say whatever you want whenever you want and where ever you want.

    Get a clue.

No, it does not.  Try reading a little constitutional law on the subject.

  2. The police weren't that bad, most of the protesters did not jump the fence, and those who did knew what would happen. I don't know if anyone was arrested for participating in the die-in, but again, we knew the risks.

And those who are going to use this to bash liberals clearly did not not see the behavior of pro-war supporters. They were far fewer in number, but far more barbaric.  A few were even screaming "Traitor!" at photographers just for standing on the opposite side of the street (before the march came through) and were yelling at the police for allowing the protest to happen.  It was actually pretty funny.

  3. Greetings.  certainly they should.  after all the police are merely the political protection arm of the government.  Hitler had his SS to protect him, we have a SS to protect our chimp from harm.  Hitler had his propaganda minister, we have the press corps to do so here.  Hitler had the Gestapo and police to enforce his rules on the people.  We do to.  Police are not here to protect you.  They are here to protect the leaders from you.

  4. No they should not. It's sad the DC Police have become a political arm of the White Wash House.

  5. What did MacArthur do during the DC petition for World

War One benefits in the depression.  Rolled over them with tanks, then burned their shanty town.

    It's a timed honor position.

  6. Exercising free speech in this country is not a reason to be arrested. It's what you do not what you say..at least I hope that's still the case...

  7. They were arrested for trespassing.

"....they jumped over a barricade near the base of the Capitol."

  8. I live in DC. Police here are ******* anyway. Look at them the wrong way and they'll get you for something.

  9. Power to us who think you liberals are full of it.  And we be people too.  'Cept we believe in this country and the mission of our military in the war against terrorism.

  10. Like all left wing ideologues, you mislead. They were not arrested for the exercise of free speech. They were violent, destructive, vicious thugs who broke the law.

The other side was respectful, quiet, and engaged in the debate of the facts. The left cannot persuade by debate. They have to physically intimidate and destroy.

  11. What part of "jumped the barricade" didn't you understand?

  12. It is actually a kind of expected thing.  Even the protestors know they will be arrested.  Very little will come of it, punishment wise.  The arrests only help get the message of prtest out.  It is called civil disobedience and the U.S. has a long history of it.

  13. You pathetic anti war protestors think you are above the law. You trespassed you f'in morons  ...I hope they throw the book at you

  14. No, but if the D.C. police will clamp down on 2nd Amendment freedoms, it's only a matter of time before the infringe upon the 1st Amendment.

  15. we wouldn't want Americans exercising the right to free speech right?

Bush can send his A S S to Iraq (not in secrecy hiding behind the soldiers and his secret service) and walk the streets of Baghdad so that the Iraqis can thank him personally for freedom and democracy!!!!!

  16. they were not arrested for protesting, they were arrested for jumping a barracade.

"Many of the protesters were arrested without a struggle after they jumped over a barricade near the base of the Capitol"

  17. come to answers and you can get banished instead
