Question:

Should the Danelaw region of England gain independence?

The UK government recognizes the existence of Kosovo, so surely the former independent nation of Danelaw deserves recognition, and freedom from the Tyranny of London, and be granted dominion status within the British Commonwealth.

We deserve our own Parliament, our own currency, and more importantly, our own freedom, and cession from the EU.

  1. The Danelaw was never a separate country, it was just occupied by Vikings.

  2. Shut up and stop wining. You are part of England, and much better off for it.

  3. The independence of Danelaw must be approved by the people of England and its people through a plebiscite.

  4. If you think that, call for a referendum, let everyone in Danelaw vote on whether to remain part of the United Kingdom or not.

As a member state of the Europeans Union, the UK government is legally obligated to recognise the right of self determination and so if a majority want Independence it must be granted.

I wouldn't get excited though, I doubt a majority of people in Danelaw want independence.
