We could pick up Milton Bradley, Casey Blake, Bobby Abreu or

Adam Dunn. Because they will all be free agents.

  1. Sure, that will speed up the path to another 100-loss season.

  2. what are you retarded?

  3. No, they should cut Zumaya.  Dude keeps getting hurt:

  4. They have him for at least 2 more years, so they might trade him, but what they should do is trade older players for younger players like Matt Kemp, Andre Eithier, or someone else. Thats how you win championships.

  5. Magglio is at .314-15-71 and I thought the objective was to acquire players with these kinds of numbers to improve your team and not to cut them.  Maybe you know something that none of the rest of us are aware of.

  6. Why? Magglio is a way better bat then all of these players. Besides Milton and Blake are having one good year and that's pretty much it.

  7. since you said "we", I am assuming that you must work for the Tiger organization. If you are considering making moves like this, I can see why your Tigers are having a down year. If you do convince your associates in the Tiger organization to make any of these moves, you most likely will not get any better

  8. WELL THEY ARENT GETTING MILTON BRADLEY THATS FOR SURE. MAGGLIO IS AN OUTSTANDING ASSET TO THE TEAM. BESIDES THE TIGERS GOT RID OF PUDGE ALREADY AND PUT A GUY WHO SHOULD BE PLAYING 3RD BASE BEHIND THE PLATE.(BRANDON INGE). ALTHOUGH INGE USED TO BE A CATCHER THAT WAS A BAD DEAL TO GIVE UP PUDGE.SOMEONE THEY WILL GET RID OF THOUGH IS GARY SHEFFIELD.I GUARANTEE HE WILL NOT BE A TIGER NEXT YEAR.

  9. Magglio Ordonez is really good I don't think that'd be such a good idea. He's a great offensive guy for the Tigers, I think they still need him.

  10. I am always confused with people starting a team action with "We", like you are part of the organization.

However, could one of these players not be picked up while retaining Ordonez?  I'm assuming Sheffield could be shed instead of Ordonez.  That would make much more sense.  Plus, how much of that huge contract that Ordonez signed is still remaining?

This is not the NFL, you still have to pay players if you cut them.

And besides, Casey Blake is a nice option if you have no options.  He doesn't replace Magglio Ordonez.

  11. Retarded, yes....Crazy, no doubt...dumbest move ever? Probably. Why would they want Bradley, Blake, Abreu, or Dunn? None of these guys put up numbers across the board like Maggs. He's the only Tiger hitting over .300 and is the most consistent by far. IF they ever thought of trading him, it would have to be for a great SP like Linecum, Webb, or maybe Sabathia, Santana type of SP. Regardless, they're not CUTTING Maggs.

  12. No way. Maggs is just too cute to watch bat to cut.

  13. You obviously know nothing about how baseball operates. Would you really rather have any of those players over Magglio? The guy may be slumping, but he's one of the best hitters in the game. He still has a .314 average with 71 RBI.
