Should the EPA sue the state of CA for the massive amounts of smoke that is now being released into the air?

? It’s only fair, CA, New Jersey and several other leftwing bastions of ignorance have tried to sue other states for the burning of coal that actually was necessary for energy production, so why not sue the good people of CA? Most of these fires are of a direct result of mismanaged areas that were placed off limits by do good tree huggers, who would not allow the forest service to do what needed to be done. Now much of the nation is breathing the filth generated by their poor management decisions. Should they not be held accountable, like they hold everyone else?

  1. Are you really equating a natural cycle of wild fire with a human decision to mine and burn an environmentally damaging resource?    No one is outlawing Coal, as it is indeed needed to produce energy.  But it should be burned more cleanly than it is, and we are correct to limit it.

But do you know why there are not more Coal-fired generating plants?  Not because of regulation, but because they are expensive to build.  Gas turbines that use natural gas or fuel oil are much cheaper and quicker to build, so that's what the utility companies do.  Of course Coal fired plants have always been cheaper to operate - even when oil was one quarter the cost is now.  But most electric companies were more interested in getting more power on line quickly and cheaply rather than invest longer term in coal or nuclear steam turbine plants, because they knew they could always pass the increased cost of the most expensive fuel to you.

  2. Yes - There is no reason why others should have to deal with California's mis-management of their forests.

Have you ever noticed that the more left someone/someplace is, the more it wants to control the liefs of others and the more pollution it spreads?

  3. No.  That's ridiculous.

    Also:

"Leftwing bastions of ignorance" - I think you and Jello are calling the kettle black when it comes to ignorance.

"mismanaged because of tree huggers" - That's just stupid.  Years of fire suppression were motivated by everyone, not just people who happen to disdain clearcutting.  You are mixing issues horribly like a typical ditto head.

"breathing the filth" - that's an extreme description for a natural source of fine particulates.  Who says it's filthy?  What are you some kind of "sky is falling" chicken little?  Oooooo the big bad smoke is going to hurt your health?  Waaaah!

Get over it.  Toughen up and be a man.  I recommend quit hiding behind labels and regurgitating all the filth you hear on the radio...

That's the lawsuit we need - cleaning up all the stupid c**p spewed forth by your talk show heroes.
