Should the ESSENDON supporter who spat on Fev be banned from attending AFL matches?

Does your opinion change now that it wasn't a Collingwood supporter?

Also, I think that people shouldn't base their opinions on stereotypes, and they should base their judgement on the actual incident, not what club he barracks for.

I dont think any player deserves to be spat on (though Fev was so arrogant and cocky, he probably did deserve the verbal abuse).

Thank you for pointing out it was an Essendon supporter.  Anyone who spits is a feral and no one team should be targeted since you get 'spitters' at every match regardless of who they barrack for.

Im am sick of being labeled a 'feral' just coz I love Collingwood.  The club, nor its supporters represent who I am as a person and I find it very offensive.

Sadly, doesnt matter what we say, it wont change peoples opinion of Collingwood supporters.  Thats life!

If a supporter gets banned for life then the next time a player spits on another player he should also be banned for life no matter who he plays for.

realistically? a "modern" society such as ours shouldn't condone spitting. It truly is something that belongs a few steps back in the evolutionary chain.

Lets say, he did spit, but threw something at Fev, no question, he'd cope a ban/fine, maybe both. So, what difference can they make between spitting (projecting spit), and throwing stuff (projecting stuff)?

Personally i hold spitting at someone in the high end of 'scumbag-ism' new word, lol.    that idiot from Queensland, who done it at the Richmond race that time,   what a dog.

i do know what you mean because then Richmond supporters got tarred with that brush, when it was one idiot, every one started saying, the Richmond fans are feral, they turn on  their own etc,  what a bunch of sensationalism,  i would punch on with any bloke in the crowd and have to defend my team,  no matter how bad we are or have been, i would NEVER spit at the tigers or any other player for that matter.

If he is an Essendon supporter,  it doesn't mean all bombers are the same, the facts are the greater the population in countries, the more idiots, blind, deaf, overweight, retarded, etc etc you have,   the same can be said of football supporters,  the more you have the more chance you will have more idiots than lesser supporter teams.
