  2. Actually they have. The Union has 15 rotating Battlegroups

    on standby at any given time for rapid response operations.

    These BG are under the command of the Union. Not the

    national states.

  6. NATO is living proof that it will never work.  Too many countries in NATO as well as the EU believe they need control over how their home boys are used.  No army can survive or even be effective if the commander in charge hasn't full authority over his command.

    h**l, they can't even agree on a common currency !
