  1. Yes...its called good sportsmanship

  2. Totally yes. Institutional cheating must be sanctioned.

  3. Yes. Because the US will cry until they do, although, they had no problem with her age in the 2007 championships when the US won...

  4. Well if they found solid proof, then I guess so.

  5. YE GODS, not yet another American having a strop because they are not top of the medal table, GROW UP. Oh by the way the medal table is ranked by the amount of GOLDS not medals, that is how the IOC rates it and believe it or not so does the rest of the world except the USA (meaning 6,000,000,000 people go along with the IOC and 275,000,000 don't) is it any wonder everybody hates you ??

  6. Yes, it's against the rule if she's under 16.

  7. yes, of course. But i believe the entire country should be punnished. All medals stripped. It sounds extreme, but it was the country thats cheating. When all is done, this story will be bigger than anything in olympic history. Believe it.

  8. no, but I do think that the government needs penalized somehow for being behind it.  China is very deceitful.  It's no wonder the west doesn't trust them.

  9. I was wondering where my response to this question went, but this question has actually been asked elsewhere in this forum.

  10. it depends. i mean, the majority of the United States is against He Kexin, so the IOC might strip her to make this superpower happy. however, the IOC might not because it would make me look bad to the rest of the world to have not investigated her before the olympics, and plus it would insult and condemn the host country which could turn EXTREMELY nasty. also, it would look a bit bad to have launched an investigation purely upon a person who was mad that china beat them at gymnastics and this would go down in history. in case none of u have noticed, there are several ppl in this world who don't quite like the usa, and this whole dilema might make the usa look like sore losers.

if i was the IOC, i would maybe just put a ban for like 5 years on He Kexin if she was found underage.

  11. Without looking at your additional info, I thought you asked if IOC would strip the girl!!!!

    Pls phrase the qn probably.

  12. The problem is that because she competed in the team event, they would have to take away that medal from the chinese and that's really not fair to the other legitimate members of the chinese team.

  13. Nope...she should get another gold, cause the little kids beat the big kids...

  14. Uh, Yes.  That is what happens when you break the rules.  It is not should, but what will happen.

  15. Yes. They would strip her medal. Go search the question before posting another one.

  16. No, the IOC will never do that because it'll look bad on them.

  17. I'm pretty sure they did investigate it before the start of the games but China was able to supply sufficient paperwork at the time.

  18. I think that if she is found to be underage, then she should be stripped of all her gold medals. (I wonder if that means the team medal will be stripped too?) Also I think it is a lesson learned for the IOC, and there may be stricter regulations to ensure that all the participants are of legal age in all the sports for now on.

  19. The rules states that all participants in gymnastics had to be a minimum of 16 years of age.  Everyone knew that before going in.  If she is found to be underage, she should be stripped of her medal.

  20. If she is found underage, China knowingly forged documents to make her look older, that is 2 whammies against them, strip the medal.

  21. Yes she should be striped of the gold, and it looks like the news media is finally forcing the issue by coming up with some evidence
