No, they shouldn't, because even though Al Arbour, was a Great Nhl coach, he is much past his prime, and who said that Arbour, would even want to coach the Islanders to glory again. Good coaching, can only get you so far in the league, you also have to have the right mixture, of players, to win championships. Those are the type of players, that the Islanders lack.
