  1. No

  2. Why would you ban it?

Deaths at the TT are always an issue but none of the riders have someone holding a gun to their head making them do it. They do it because they want to, just like any other sport.

It's also a major source of income for the island.

  3. No, it's a great tradition and one of the main events in the motor-sports calendar.

  4. No way dude.

The deaths that happen are part of racing. I know that sounds harsh, but the riders know the risks.

Even the family of the late great David Jeffiries, say the TT should continue. Im sure [even though he was not killed at the TT] the family of Joey think the same.

  5. NO. All sport involves some risk.No one has to compete in this event and no one has to be a spectator.I agree it was a terrible tragedy, unfortunately it is not the first to happen during the Isle of Man TT. one can only hope it will not happen again, but of this there is no guarantee.

  6. No it shouldn't. I've just gotten back and on the whole it was a fantastic event, yes tragically there have been fatalities but people do know this when they go over there and they know of the risks involved in road racing such as this.

  7. No, and it's a stupid question to begin with.

For all the safety-crats and whiners, get this through your head once and for all:  It's a *voluntary* event!  Nobody is forced to go there, and everybody understands the risk.

Just because the majority of people would choose not to engage in higher risk activity, doesn't mean it should be banned for those who do choose to participate.  If you don't like it, don't watch it.  People die in all sorts of motorsports and in regular driving, should we ban those too?  Are we beholden to make it as safe as possible, yes.  But an outright ban, heck no!

  8. in a word NO can you tell me why it should be

  9. No, it's an amazing event, road racing is dangerous, but then again track racing is as well, come to think of it any motorsport is dangerous should it all be banned?

  10. Not at all.  Boxing is a viable sport and the two competitors' only goal is to try to hurt each other.  Motorcycle racing is generally fairly safe compared to many sports and the Isle of Man TT has been around for over 100 years.

It wouldn't be a bad idea for there to be warnings or rules for spectators but it definately shouldn't be banned.

  11. no, certainly not. everyone is aware of the risks when they race. spectators should know that its best to stay out of the way. there is too much nanny state-ism going on . let people choose their own levels of risk.

  12. God no...it should be celebrated...when I was a young teen I did motorcross (eventually AMA experts license), flat track, TT, and trials, then did some road race work on a YZR250. I road some practice laps around the big track in daytona at speed. As I got slightly older...17, 18 I got into hipo street bikes...had a kawasaki h2 750...2 cycle, 3 cylinder, all ported and recarbed and exspansion chambered...it was a bad boy. Wheelies at 100mph for sure...I always wanted to do the isle of man but alas never did....now I am too old to even consider that action...lol

  13. NO, NO, NO.

Yes people die at this event and people are injured. They are there however of their own accord and have not been forced int going. All the people who attend thi Isle of Man TT and Manx Grand Prix are aware of the dangers of attending.

This is a great event, it has everything that a great spectical needs. Excitement, speed, danger and tradtition.

This is the oldest motorcycle race in the world and the Isle of Man relys on this and the Manx GP for their economy and livelyhood. to take it away would be the greatest tragedy.

  14. Absolutely not! If you are referring to the accidents that happen, then this can be said of any and all sporting activity.

Too many people enjoy it, me included!

  15. Yes!

  16. No, they should not.

More people die annually from falling off horses, should horse riding be banned?

the racers and the spectators know that sometimes accidents can happen, and sadly in this case with tragic consequences.

  17. No, never.

  18. 3 people killed today?

i just heard - I dont know the circumstances yet,but as with all dangerous sport, people are aware that there could be tragedies! unfortunately it takes a tragedy to make people aware. i think that the races should be televised, not to let spectators there, unless they are totally comfortable with putting themselves in grave danger, the riders are playing with thir own lives too, but choose to do it. It shouldnt be banned, personally, people enjoy watching! if it does get bannes all sports should be too - especially FOOTBALL! (cos i cant stand it)

  19. No ,It should not,The people who race do so because they want to,The people who go to watch the races go because they want to,Everyone knows the risks,It is just a shame when people get hurt or killed,So  no the TT should not be banned.
