Should the LPGA be renamed the Asian tour?

Check out the Leaderboard at any LPGA event, it seems as though it's filled with Asian players (not a bad thing but maybe they should have their own tour)...not many American golfers making the grade except for Creamer, Lang, Inkster, and Pressel...I see a lot of Asian names all over that Money list...thoughts?

  1. it comes in strides. Rember the early 90's? Most lpga players were butch lesbians but we didnt call it the L*****n perfesional golf tour did we? just wait few years and most might be indian. Lets not discriminate or change just for a few  years!!!

  2. Is the LPGA an american tour?  Would you still have the same complaints if the leaders are from European?  Your question is bordering on xenophobia.  Remember when only white was allowed to eat at restaurants, or play golf, or ride a bus at the front?

  3. No But They Should ReName The Asian Tour The LPGA.

  4. The LPGA is not an "American" tour.  The majority of events are held in the States simply because that's where the money and sponsorship is located.    If you want to be the best you have to compete against the best.  If the US girls can't beat the Asian girls then they just need to get better, not run off and play by themselves.

  5. The Asians are here because the money is great, their sponsors have deep pockets and the other tours offer little in the way of remuneration or prestige. There was a time when I followed the LPGA because we had an event in New Rochelle, NY. The wife and I attended the tournament at Wykagyl for several years. Since the " Asian Invasion" we have not attended one event. Perhaps, I may be predjudiced but I don't like the idea that the winner has to speak through an interpreter and no one speaks English.Unfortunately, this is the same with the immigrants, legal or illegal, who don't try to learn the language.

  6. Golf is played world-wide.  The best go where the big money is--which is, at this time, here in the USA.  There are many women in the USA who have the talent, but also have other carreer/life choices.  They are simply not as "hungry".
