  1. thats dumb

  2. The red sox would never trade Jacoby.  He might be in a slump but he's the future. They might give up some one like a Brandon Moss Is they were really desperate.

  3. its interesting, because manny brings so much power to a team, but he brings just as much drama, and elsbury is promising but idk if the mets would want to risk their contention this year on those two guys

plus isn't beltran in the middle of a huge contract that boston would have to eat?? i really cant see them giving up one of their best prospects in elsbury, even if it is going to get rid of manny

it might be a good deal but it seems impractical

  4. h**l no! Bad trade for both. Elsbury is going to be really good and  Beltran is clearly not worth the 100 million dollar contract. and Manny's antics will tear an already fragile mets team apart

  5. YES, YES YES....

  6. No. Beltran is not the best hitter on the block, but I would rather have a guy who can take a homerun away from the opponent than a guy who is gonna act like a spoiled brat in the dugout.

  7. I don't see that trade happening.

  8. NO! NO! NO!.......Carlos Beltran is an important part of the Mets team, besides hes the opposite of Manny, he plays the game quietly. Although im looking for Manny to end up on the Mets and I would love them to grab Elsbury too, this isn't the way to do it. Another reason why the Mets shouldn't deal Beltran is because whenever Beltran does well, the Mets play well. That just shows how important he is to this Mets team.  And besides Beltran has a full No-Trade Clause, and he wants to stay a Met.

  9. Think the sox would be stupid to take that deal but I'd laugh if it actually happened.

  10. Yes and the Yankees should trade A Rod and Mariano for David Wright

  11. I don't see the Red Sox doing a deal like this.  It is too much for Beltran.

  12. That seems like a good deal since manny's an old bag and beltran and elsbury are young

  13. the red sox i dont think are getting rid of jacoby ellsbury anytime soon and they would be reallly stupid to do it. yeahh hes stayingg bostonn.

  14. not a bad trade at all

  15. Ehhhh...NO??   Manny can walk after THIS season.  He has a $20 Million option waiting for him in Boston, yet all he does is cry and complain about THAT.  Will the Mets pay him MORE money than THAT??  And if so, WHY? If the Mets can't win with Reyes, Beltran, Wright, and Delgado at the heart of their order, then I'd argue that hitting is not the Mets' problem; pitching is.  Plus, they have enough drama in Shea already; why add Manny's sour puss to all that other stuff?

  16. not gonna happen

  17. The Sox would NEVER do this trade.

I doubt they'd do it even if Elsbury wasn't included...

  18. That trade is super retarded. You are trading a huge threat on the bases and an 110 RBI guy for Carlos Beltran.

If I was Omar Minaya and the Red Sox GM (I forget his name) I would not even consider that trade.

  19. no becuase then the mets would not have a good centerfielder and then have to left feilder and then there team will begin to stink and if u think that boston is that stupid to trade manny and elsburry for beltran who isnt as half as good as them you must be on crack dued.

  20. Why is Beltran worth both Ellsbury and Ramirez?  Ramirez is 10x the hitter Beltran is.
