The only bad part about it would be if you just signed a allstar team like celtics and then you get traded to germany

  1. No, the league would then be too global and travel would be too expensive and the league will die

  2. That is more complicated then u think. I'd say NO.

  3. no, the schedules would be so messed up and itll cost more money to keep the league running.  thats a bad idea, if anything start another league in europe and have the champions over there face the champions in the states.  kind of like east and west, except they dont play in the regualr season.

i would like to see the international teams play top nba teams in a 7 game series.

  4. I say yes.  Basketball is truly becoming an international game, second only to soccer now.  I would definitely like to see either expansion teams into Europe, Latin America, and Asia (the markets who could feasibly support one), OR a consolidation of the NBA and some Euroleague teams into one worldwide organization.

The only backdrop to potential NBA teams in Europe or Asia is the quality of the arenas and working out rule differences between the two organizations.  Most arenas' size shouldn't be a problem, but they typically don't have the amount of luxury suites, lounges, or HDTV scoreboards which the NBA arenas have which makes them "NBA-worthy" in David Stern's eyes.

  5. no with the way gas prices are soaring, it would cost way too much money, and imagine the plane flights, how long they will be

  6. Yes. It should be like the AL/NL in baseball...a whole "World" division. The "World" teams (representing 16 or so countries) would have a season and play the winners of the East/West.

Some say it would cost too much money. It would cost a lot, but make a lot. I met these two French girls, 15 or 16, a couple weeks ago. They were a part of the foreign exchange program and my friend was housing them. They spoke no English, but the moment I started talking to my friend's brother about the NBA and said Boris Diaw, they got excited and started saying "N..BEEE..AYYY????"

The game has plenty of international stars. These Olympic's are going to show that to anyone who has any doubts. The US isn't the force it once was. Spain will gobble this team up and won't make mistakes like the Aussie's did.

Basketball is a global game. Unlike soccer, basketball already has a large fanbase in other countries. There's no need to shove it down their throats.

Also, Euro's take pride in their players, unlike Americans. If we see a kid from the US make it in soccer, nobody cares. If the Chinese have a player make an NBA rotation, every game he plays is broadcast on three channels.

It would be a good compromise for players to stop leaving, too. It's going to happen. We need to stop being naive. If Chill loves the Euro experience, RFA will soon be the one or two year Euro experience.

  7. NOOO, then wats gunna be here in the usa? and plus travelin all around the world just to play one team, its bad enough to say that the lakers hav a game in new york the day after a game in L.a. there is no way these 15 hour flites will pass, if europe wants a league, okay with me, its not the nba!

  8. NO! horrible idea. Basketball was born here in America!! If u have skill then come to the NBA
