Question:

Should the New York Times get rid of its paper ?

Its my opinion that saving trees from being used to make papers like the New York Times is truly justified. The trees help reduce global warming by absorbing CO2 and creating oxygen, while the Times may support conservation, it is being hypocritical, by printing its paper copies by the millions.

The horror the horror.

  1. 1) Newspapers do their best to print as many copies as they need, no more, no less.

    2) Newsprint is mostly recycled paper; relatively few trees are cut to make it.

    3) A large part of the paper is ads but that is what pays the bills, so that you can get the news without paying $10 per issue.

    4) If you don't like the Times, don't buy it. There are other ways to get your news. It's just a little more trustworthy if you read it in the Times.

    5) Think how much the Times contributes to reuse and recycling. Your attic could be insulated with old issues.

  2. Well maybe you should read a little bit more about how some paper industries make paper and if they are as bad as "people claim":

I am not against saving paper... but sometimes we don't see the whole pic!

  3. I was thinking the same thing not more than ten minutes ago. I swear!

And I think that if they don't want to get rid of their papers, then at least minimize the amount that they print or the amount of pages in each issue.

Also, get rid of all the stupid magazines that really do anything but advertise stuff that nobody buys.

  4. This is all I have to say about the New York Times:
