  1. I think not. If the PGA has drug policy that includes recreational drugs, then the player should be  suspended for violating that  policy and the PGA should report it like they would any suspensions. If their drug policy only bans performing enhancing drugs, then it is no body's business if Tiger Woods or Phil Mickelson smokes a joint or snorts some coke.  However, since that scenario is not likely, I feel that all publications on who is doing what should be  kept quiet unless it leads to a suspension.

  2. YES - NO QUESTION

Just to answer this Very strange individual DRBOPP who is above me.

How can you possibly justify not informing the general public if Woods is a smack head??

Saying it is none of our business screams of niaevitee.

How about the fact that the two golfers you mentioned are role models to millions of kids?

Not to mention the multi-million sponsership contracts that they signed. Their representing those companies in a great light arn't they!!

When woods and mickleson tried for their tour card and went out and became pro golfers they understood that they were becoming famous (I'll agree they may not have appreciated how famous!) they also understood that their actions would be scrutinised by everyone from the media to Joe Public.

As a famous person you have a responsibility to everyone who looks up to you or is trying to emulate you to be a great role model. If they don't like it they should quit.

Sorry to sway off subject but comments like that really get my back up.

  3. I don't think it is necessary - let them have a little privacy.  Rec drugs most likely are not going to give them an advantage during competition, and they are already risking a lot if they are breaking the law so just let it be.

  4. People really don't understand how dangerous and potent anabolic steroids are. Look at body builders their freaks

so really do you think any bodybuilder with muscles bulging out of his *** can drive a golf ball 350? Normally a male makes about 5 to 15 mg of testosterone per day anabolic steroids are in the 50 100 Mg range and that's on the low end. These steroids are usually for animals not people and therefore are even more dangerous to the body causing liver cancer kidney failure not to mention manic rage. The answer

is simple a little bit goes a long ways take a winner from any competition and he will have more circulating testosterone at the moment FACT! There are ways to help your body produce as much as its supposed to like diet exercise etc..

In golf its about score assumimg the player is healthy and normal then skill is the determining factor. Otherwise its a medical problem called hypogonadism this would result in poor performance in all sports and life regardless of intelligence or skill call testosterone the fuel for life for men.

To much is awful not enough is a problem and a health in issue in the long run. In conclusion steroids are far to dangerous in the short term their to potent and unnatural.

I dont see pga players taking stimulants or drugs they need to be calm to sunk putts and hit the ball that's my view.

  5. Interesting to see how many guys use beta blockers!!!!!

  6. Yes they do.  They definetly don't need to follow in baseball's footsteps with their "strict" policy on it.  On performance enhancing drugs golf needs to clear the person's name of records/accomplishments from the past # of years, and and fine them a nice % of their earnings from the past year.  Those who say that this is to strict need to understand that that the game is about the player vs. the course and nothing to help him but a good set of clubs.

  7. I just couldnt care less if any tour pro wants to to smoke pot or snort coceine.  If the argument against this is, "they're role models", then that's just more reason not to announce it.

  8. Yes, but I have a feeling its either going to be someone aging or someone who no one knows. It will also look better because you don't want to make the same mistakes baseball did.
