  1. Why do people want to get rid of a Hall of Famer and one of the best hitters in the past 30 years. People need to stop reading into the drama that ESPN and newspapers use to get ratings/sell copies, whatever. Look at his production on the field! Did anything change last night during the game after all the info came out about trades, etc. NO - He still went 3-5, with 2 RBIs and 2 Runs scored.

If you want to get rid of the best pure hitter since he came into the game, then you are a moron. People need to realize that Manny never lets this stuff affect his level of play on the field, which is all that matters right now.

Heres a solution, stop reading the papers or watching ESPN and watch THE GAME and see how much he matters to this team. Without him, no one pitches to Ortiz and no one is consistent enough to drive in as many runs as Manny does.

  2. i am a huge red sox fan and honestly i know the whole that's just Manny being Manny thing is getting old, i say if he doesn't shape up i wouldn't keep him for another season, i mean come one if you hit a ball and don't run out of the batters box because you think it gonna get caught come on, put a little effort in i mean how much is he being paid. OK I'm ranting but it just pisses me off.

  3. His problem is that the team has made it clear that he is not in the future plans beyond this season.  He wanted them to commit one way or the other and they have now said that they will not pick up his option so he is telling them that if they want proper compensation for him then trade him and he will be fine with it.  Other wise they will lose him and only get a couple of draft picks for him as compensation.  They will not trade him as they are trying to make a run but will happen after he leaves is that Ortiz will be next out the door as he will not be getting the same types of pitches to hit so he will want out.

  4. This is normal manny

  5. yes although i absolutly HATE boston getting rid of manny to the NL would take another jack*** out of the AL

  6. Absolutely not.

"Manny being Manny"  does not effect how he plays baseball one bit.

It's not his fault the Red Sox threw him 20 mill. per year.  Would you turn it down?

People just get mad when they see people getting paid tons of money acting ways they don't think is appropriate.  GET OVER YOURSELF.

Maybe if you had any skill people would pay you to play pro sports, but you don't so stop hating on people that do.

  7. Boston ain't gonna trade him & his teammates & fans will just have to put up with Manny being Manny I guess, well at least until the end of the season.

  8. TRADE MANNY TO THE MARLINS!

  9. i dont understand why everyone is so upset at him people ask for teams to pick up their options all of the time its not like he isn't hitting they said no, he was disappointed, and now baseball tonight has fodder for a week.  I don't think he is in the wrong at all, the Red Sox know they need that big bat in the order and no one will give very much up for him, as the fact that he is the worst OF in MLB is hidden by the wall.
