They already have!  The neo-cons are not conservatives, they are radical liberals, bringing us the very worst of what the Democrats have to offer, just swathed in a wrapper of old-time conservative patriotism.  Bush has increased entitlements and borrowed so much money from the Federal Reserve that no American family will ever know what it is to be free of debt again.  He has mired the nation in a deficit larger than the Democrats could have ever dreamed possible, The Bill of Rights has been neutered in favor of false security.  The Constitution has become a "G********d piece of paper."  Justice and liberty, for all their promise, have been replaced by rendition and torture and executive privilege and the Decider's signing statements.

Hardly- the DEMS are already disbanded into 2 seperate entities- the Clinton side and Obama side. Republicans will never support abortion, high taxes, or extreme environmentalism.
