Should the Romanov family name be rehabilitated?

Over the last six to eight months there has various appeals by Grand Duchess Maria of the Imperial Family to have the Romanov family name be rehabilitated. They so far been denied this by the Russian government and are still technically in "exile". There was also a request to have a statue of Tsar Nicholas II placed in Moscow and that request was denied

One of the items in an article in response to the request of the family was basically they dont deserve it. That Tsar Nicholas II was a terrible ruler and gave various instances of what he did wrong. Along with stating that the murder of him and his family was not political but was a premedated murder and therefore has no rights for the rehabilitation by the government

What is your opinion on this?

the romanovs should whip russia into shape. that putin's crazy.

of course, i know they would'nt make them czars, but just a thought. sure they weren't a candidate for "ruler of the year", but still.

No, I thinck the Romanov Family is my fovortie family , so do not do this to me.

Yes, Tsar Nicholas the 2 was a terrible ruler but his family should not be in this predikrreom.

I don't think that the family name requires rehabilitation but  that little guy Putin needs some image polishing.

I have been under the impression that when Nicholas abdicated he also abdicated for Alexis and abdicated in favour of his brother Michael, who also abdicated before he was shot

I understand that means there is no Romanov family name to be rehabilitated as there is no one to rehabilitate it for ?
