Question:

Should the SQA do away with exams?

I'm thinking that there is no real point to exams. I mean, we are only being tested on our memory. I think NABs are worthwhile, but external exams do nothing for us. In fact we never get to find out why we did so good or so bad in an exam. And what happens to all those essays anyway? So what are your thoughts: exams stay or exams go?

  1. Essays are probably binned! After all the hard work!!

They could be just to show that we are capable of managing to keep at a subject for a year! or 2 for standard grades!

  2. Yeah they should go, i think its stupid that whether or not you pass a 1 or 2 year course is determined in a 1-3 hour exam. You could be passing all through your course and then mess up the exam on the day and you would fail which i think its pretty c**p to be honest and the fact you dont know what you got wrong is also pretty annoying

  3. It's all too much hard work =/

    i say scrap 'em xD

    xx
