Should the Senators trade for Schiender or Mclaren?

Question

Either one will only cost a late draft pick...I say McLaren only because he is cheaper...but Schiender probably has more puck-moving skill...What do you intelligent hockey fans think?

Being a Wings fan, I would think Schneider would be a good acquistion.  He isnt great in the defensive zone but he can move the puck well and has a great shot from the point.  Hes only a few years removed from from when he led all defensemen in goals.  He actually plays with some decent grit too.

I think the Senators would be a whole lot better off if they changed their gawd awful logo and uniforms.

I hate Mclaren with that cheap *** hit he did in the 2004 playoffs....yeah I'm a habs fan, your team has alot more to worry about then those two players...lol...can we say "FORE!"

As a Habs fan I could care less but to answer your question Schneider would help the Senaturds more, whereas the mention of the name McLaren brings back images of his late hit on Zednik in the 04 playoffs.

Me being a huge Ducks fan i definitely think Schnieder, he was huge help to our D, very agile and great shot. He also brings a good veteran presence. Forget Mclaren that guys a punk and lacks talent.

They should get Mclaren sign Vermette s***w Mezaros and give a good offer sheet to Boumester that would make my day and id go crazy Schinder is a geezer and sucks

I think Ottawa is fine where they are at.  They should really invest on more scoring depth for lines 2 and 3 and a younger goalie in case broken Gerber decides to sh*t the bed again.  Chris Phillips has and always will be their best Dman and is incredibly underrated.  'Nough said.

Schneider wouldnt be as good in the EAST! He is a WEST style defenseman... dont think he would want to go to the SENS either.....He would have fit into the SHARKS..... Schneider is alomst 40 and doesnt fit all teams! Schneider wants CUPS.... or he retires! He put up with LA for a long time..... he didnt like being in the EAST! He left the WINGS last season for not much money difference to be on the WEST COAST again..... I DONT THINK he would go back East! If he did, his heart wouldnt be into it.

McClaren sucks.  Schneider is good offensively and defensively and adds a little grit too.  Also he is a great power play QB.  Also might I add... McClaren SUCKS.
