Should the Super 14 rugby season be longer?

I would like to see it longer, but due to the high standards of Southern Hemisphere rugby, we have to leave some petrol in the tank for the players who will then go on to play tri-nations.

To put more teams into the competition would be silly. It would water down the competition even more.

To make it longer would kill off the domestic competitions in South Africa and New Zealand. The Australians are pushing to extend the competition to make up for their lack of a domestic competition.

Look at how the Australian and South African teams have been affected with the inclusion of an extra team and New Zealand also lacks a bit of depth eg Highlanders.

If anything the S14 should become the Super 10. There are too many onesided games going on in the S14 at the moment. With 10 teams you could pool a lot more talent together and have more competitive outfits.

australia needs a stronger domestic comp. than it currently has maybe needs to look at league for the way its run but nz and sa both have strong domestic comps compared to us. maybe allow our players to enter the other nations comps to improve maybe go back to a national provincial comp either way the super 14 comp is of good standard and should be at least another month longer than it is for our players to gain more experiance

No make it start one month later, and add an Argentine side,

and a combination Pacific Island side.

Then put the final in a nuetral venue, ie Singapore, Hong kong, or Dubai at the new Rugby stadium there, or even in Europe, ie Millienum Stadium in Wales.

heres an idea  scrap one team each from south africa australia and new zealand  and add four/five teams from england  europe  japan and argentina they play a twenty  round competition and the top eight go through at the end of the twenty rounds the super 14 is  way too short
