Should the Twilight books be turned into movies?

I don't think that the book can ever be pulled off as a movie and that it will ever live up to the books but i want to know what your opinion is

i dont think the movie will be as good as the books ( are they ever, really?)

but i do think that seeing the movie will give you a diffrent view of twilight. you might have a more vivid picture of the scene.

i do think that they should be made into movies

No, especially because everybody has a different visual of Edward, so no one can really BE him.

Well, I had a different vision of Edward, and at first I didn't like that Robert Pattinson is playing him, but I decided that he really could pull of Edward, because he has a similar personality and she is dazzling. But I loved Twilight, so the movie interesting.

No, because then my girlfriend will become THAT much more obsessed with Edward, and the actor who plays him, and her comments on how I need to live up to him will never cease!

Yes, and here is why:

1: It's good for Hollywood.  They don't have to think up the story, and they'll make $ off of the books fans.

2: It's good for the author.  She gets to make bigger $ off of her work.

3. It's good for people who don't read often or who ddn't like the book.  The movie would be an improvement on the material for both parties.

The only people hurt in this process are the fans of the books.  Movies today don't have as much detail, nor do they have the time to tell the whole story.  Many people thought Lord of the Rings was too long and it really only scratched the surface of the books.  Fans of the novels will never be satisfied wth film adaptations, but that doesn't make adapting them to film a "bad" Idea :)

Well I'm supposed to do a summer report on the first twilight book and i can't find a bookstore that holds the book so hopefully it comes out soon so i dont have to read the book
