  1. the UN doesnt have much use

  2. @ bill g

"The UN is populated by mostly 3'rd world dictatorships who have no business or right to tell the world's number 1 superpower how to run it's affairs"

so its ok for america to tell others what to do and if they don't agree bomb them back to the middle ages right?

that just sums up why we have so much hatred and war all over the world

  3. The UN is useless. The communists and the Arabs transformed the UN to a disgraceful organisation. Corrupt Kofi was the worst secretary general in the UN history. Therefore my answer is NO, No and NO.

  4. No they have no power, never agree and waste billions of dollars.

  5. Of course the US should participate in the UN. Every country (with a government) is represented there. If the US does not participate, what does that suggest to every other nation? Especially as the US is a founding member, a permanent member and has veto power on Security Council resolutions.

If the US was not a member of the UN, how could it have put pressure on both Iran and N. Korea's nuclear program? It was the UN's IAEA that conducted the inspections.

The US cannot rely on military force alone. The UN provides it with the diplomatic leverage.

  6. The UN is made up by the Nations that are part of it and it's the only place where all countries sit around a table and talk. Ask yourself why the UN was created, which were the reasons and it sobjectives. Learn a little bit more about this unique Institution and you'll find out that there is a lot of ignorance about it.

  7. The US should stop influencing the UN to advance its interests.

  8. would it matter? lol

  9. The US should participate because we are a major player in world affairs. However, imho, we should not feel we need to surrender our soverengty. The UN is populated by mostly 3'rd world dictatorships who have no business or right to tell the world's number 1 superpower how to run it's affairs. Other countries can be like the USA if they have fair electons, free trade, and private sector business practices. Should we let countries who practice genocide tell us how to run our country and our affairs? I say NO!
