why? who is it hurting sitting there very well watched after? Russia is the danger in letting these missiles slip into uncontrolled hands.

Yes, the way I see it having thousands of warheads is and accident waiting to happen.

But if we were going to do this we would have to have all countries get rid of their nuclear weapons as well. This would be tricky especially with new nuclear powers like Iran, Israel, and North Korea.

After the nations disarm the UN would have to do inspections for a while to make sure they're all gone.

This wouldn't be easy but its better than the alternative which is ultimately nuclear war.

Absolutely!  The inventory should be reduced by 1 and its technology should be shared with Iran, from about 40,000 feet.

i think america is a trusted responsible country (as opposed to many others) so i do not believe that they need to reduce its nuclear stock pile. (though it would be nice if the worlds nuclear stock pile were diminished)
