  1. Why land the military with them. There are men and women in action at the moment who would not want their lives to depend on that rabble.

  2. National Service is a very expensive way of dealing with the problem.

Teenagers (especially boys) need something to do, and need to learn social/practical skills. They also need a strong example to be set.

Instead of pouring money into silly advertising campaigns, government (non-) initiatives, policing measures and the like, they could pour money into creative projects involving young-people (by which I do not mean making music with dustbin lids or learning how to break dance).

There was a time when work provided the answer, but now there is little practical work of interest to teenagers. Serious public-projects could provide valuable training, and benefit the wider community.

For instance, where I live there is a steam-railway, which is maintained and has been restored by enthusiasts. What a fantastic opportunity for teenagers wanting to learn  real trades as sponsored apprentices, but instead, they go to classes in "Community Cohesion".

The other thing is to rid the schools of the nanny-state, and encourage MEN to become teachers once again.

If I had carried a knife to school, I'd have been dragged by my hair to the headmaster and thrashed in front of everyone. It just wouldn't have been tolerated.

Nowadays, we get social workers, the court services, discussion groups and behavoural therapy, plus criminal records which affect kids for a long time and doom them to almost certain long-term unemployment.

It's easy for kids to kill each other, and it's just as easy to kill their chances with the carebear mentality now pervading the schools.

That's the difference between Polish teenagers and English ones. They come over here with self discipline, skills and a high level of self-respect.

They are no better: they're just taught better.

  3. No bring back flogging

  4. sorry but question asker raises a good point, all you people giving carebear responses need a reality check.

PEOPLE ARE BEING MURDERED BY TEENAGERS IN OUR STREETS

This stuff has only started happening since the govt started introducing carebear politics for all you people who think giving kids more hugs will help.

Teenagers in this country and people in general need some much needed discipline, this country has an incredible drink problem, and teenagers are very much part of that.

Address the causes, and the problem will fix itself.

Having said that national service would teach MUCH needed discipline, and lower unemployment, it teaches people life skills and makes them better people. Military service has less too do with killing people and everything to do with defending your country while experiencing things which will BUILD YOU UP as a person.

Molly Coddling your way through life (like a bloody sheep) is only going to mess up this country more than it already is. We need a strong government who isn't afraid to change things.

  5. NO . you need EDUCATION. this is not going to school and some teacher lecture you only once the curriculum subject and that is it. you teenager try to memorise the exam questions and than you pass. this is not education. Education is make sure that the kids UNDERSTAND what they study and that they CAN APPLY what have studied. simple but not done. Go to school yourself be forced to be there each day M-F to do thing you do not understand and tell me how do you fell. You will destroy the school, be up set with the world, that is the problem. Than you became adult and no body force you to be somewhere M-F and listen to all that stuff  you do not understand and you cool down. "Adult" no you start to study things at your own speed and you start to understand them and you are cool. the reason is 99% education. When I was in school my teacher was very care full that the class understand  the lesson he did not give a s....t about statistic.

  6. i visited engalnd couple of weaks ago and i was suprised to see so many kids out side on streets drinking and poking fun on the elderly. it completely changed my picture of Engalnd.

although i still dont think sending them to the army will make a diffrence.

  7. No as teenagers are 'bad' due to the disgusting examples of adults.

    Think about it.

You tell teenagers they are bad, keeping in mind that at that age they are very influential, with hormones raging and very scared and confused about the changes they are going through, the only thing they are gonna' do is be bad.

I don't like how you stereotype.

    Yes I am a teenager.

I go to college, never been in trouble with the police, have a fantastic social life so dont think im a nerd, I get high grades, dont drink or do drugs, OR smoke. And I help my parents in any way I can.

So please, when certain adults can be better rolemodels, then maybe you can blame the youth for being bad?

  8. i reckon there should be a 3 strike rule in place....

3 strikes and ur off to basra, with nothing more than the blade u carry around the streets...

regardeless of what some on here may say, teenagers are outta control, and its being allowed by the state.

  9. Yes, I seriously think if young people were taught self-discipline, self-reliance and self-respect, many of our current social problems would be solved.

  10. National service could teach a few to become even more nasty than they already are.

But hopefully most will learn something good.

But the big questions are.... How much would it cost?, and how would they fund it?

  11. They could think about bringing back God and filling the churches instead of emptying them.  A nation without God will always struggle with wickedness and evil.

Have you ever thought that these teenagers are trying to correct some of the wrong done by adults?  I believe the teenagers will bring about revival and bring the UK back to the Lord.

The question is - How did the teenagers get out of control in the UK?  If you raise a child up in the way he should go when he gets older he will not depart from it.  Sounds like the adults have not done their job.

  12. Yes. Either that or pay someone (me) to go around with a big stick and randomly hit teenagers with it just to keep them on their toes.

Hamstringing a load of them should help too.

  13. Put them in a Penal Battalion! That will liven them up!But you would have them crying for their Mums!

  14. Better still; send them straight to Iraq as cannon fodder !!

On a more thoughtful note; my mate's boy is now about 12 but he still keeps a close eye on him. He is allowed more freedom if he behaves, such as doing his homework. Sounds like a good scheme !

  15. Ok, Ok I think I get where you are coming from, take the bad teenies off the streets, put them in the army, give them guns and teach them the art of war, and how to kill without emotions!!

Yea I am sure that would work, in fact it has been tried before, when the Police imported ‘Yardies’ into ‘Scotland Yard’ to sort out some bad boys

Bet you cant guess what was the outcome!!

Kinda like fighting war to ensure peace, or encouraging underage s*x to preserve Virginity & chastity!!

Anyway Charmed, good subject, have a good Y/A time, bless

  16. teenagers right, discrimination

    end of

leave us alone, your fuelling the hatred. i cant believe you people, you dont understand, knife crimes gone down, violence has gone down, you dont know what your talking about.
